Madeira Bus app

Madeira bus timetables offline, on your phone

Madeira Bus is free to download for iPhone and Android. The free version plans journeys on the SIGA network and keeps the published timetables on your phone, so a mountain road without a signal is not a problem. The offline route map is a paid premium upgrade.

Free download. Both stores.

What works without a connection

Everything on this page refers to the published SIGA timetables stored in the app. The app updates them on launch when a connection is available.

  • Offline timetables

The published timetable and stops of every route in the app, stored on your phone. Open them on the bus, on a trail or at a stop with no coverage.

  • Journey planning

Pick where you are and where you are going; the app finds the scheduled connections across the SIGA network, including the first bus the next morning when nothing is left today.

  • Stops near you

The stops around you on a street map, each with its next scheduled departures, so you know which side of the road to stand on.

  • Four languages and dark mode

English, Portuguese, German and French, with a dark theme for night journeys.
